-Got a few of the recommended books - a few are audio and some are old school.

Episode #9 - Only Half Way Done. But Less Than A Week Away.
Posted by Jackie in Show Notes on July 25th, 2009
Â
What I’m Kniting
-Up until last night, I had not touched the lace scarf in over a week. I’m trying to find a way to bribe myself to work on it… I’ve got 10.5 repeats done, which to my best guess is about half way.
Â

30 Inches!
Â
-Got the yarn and am ready to cast on for the Two Toned Shrug. My newly knitting co-worker and I are doing a knit a long. Â
Ooh Shiny
-Had a lovely dinner with knitting friend Erin last Tuesday. But I managed to ruin the night by getting quite sick in her neighbor’s yard. Kind of funny now that it’s a week in the past, but yuck. Thought it was fast food that I had for lunch, but it turns out that Barq’s rootbeer has caffeine. And when you haven’t had it for several months, and then you have 44 oz of soda with caffeine, it makes your heart race, chest tight, and then you yuke. In your friend’s neighbor’s yard.
-Wednesday I got Scott from the airport.
-Thursday was packing up the office… It’s so strange to pack up and building and leave after you’ve been there for 9 months… It made it painfully real that I’ll be gone in just a week.

Disassembled office. :(
Â
Â
-Went to see “Away We Go” Thursday night… It was very cute. So much of the movie was us just laughing SO hard because 75% of John Krazinski’s character is just like Scott. I felt it could have ended better… Now is not the time for all this uncertainty in movies.
-Friday was an off day since they’re moving everything to the new building… Took Scott to the airport again, and he’ll be back Saturday night.
-More Aussie plans… I got a 5 pc suitcase set from Kohls and finally chose the underwater camera I thought would be best. I went with the Olympus 550WP. It takes videos well as pictures, so that should be really neat. I’m hoping to test it out tomorrow at my parent’s house.
-Plane reading. Anyone got suggestions?
Never Ending Queue
-Picked up the fall issu e of KnitScene at Borders today:

KnitScene Fall 2009
Â
Â
-Carnaby Pullover - sort of thermal looking with fake buttons.
-Caterpillar-sitich pullover - like the idea, wouldn’t use that texture, but neat. (Not in Ravelry yet)
-Maximum stripe pullover - love the buttons on the shoulder and texture. They have a lot of shoulder buttons in this issue, I love them.
-There are also a few really, really terrible things in there, but I won’t talk about those.
Flavor Of The Week
-Sonic’s Cherry Limeade Chiller - DELISH!
Next week’s episode will be a bit early, as we leave for Australia on Friday. Chances are, it will be 100% rambling, filled with ‘eeps’ and squeals about being excited and plans. But, I still plan on recording, it just may not be exciting, haha.
