This last week has been an especially rough one for me. I’ve been trying not to touch on the harder parts in the podcast, in fear of bringing you all down. This week I received a few really wonderful notes and reviews, and I cannot thank you all enough for your super kind words. It has honestly made this week a kajillion times better.
In other news, it looks like the podcast was featured in the August issue of Let’s Knit magazine! I haven’t managed to get my hands on a copy (but I am still trying!) but here’s what they had to say:
“A relatively recent addition to the podcast catalogue, KIPing It Real is a whimsical broadcast from across the water. Avid crafter, Design Shark, discusses her inspirations, projects, knitting in public and all of her favourite things.”
Thanks to Witty on Ravelry for taking the time to type that up.

-Catching up on other podcasts, I’m way behind! Thanks so much to Jasmin & Gigi at the Knitmore Girls for their super kind words. ![]()
-Saw the new Harry Potter. Disappointed with the lack of knitted items, but I felt like we got a little should out with the inclusion of “I love knitting patterns”
-Dinner and bowling with Erin & Keith. Had an awesome time. I suck at real life bowling.
-Dinner at Bar Louie with Paisley. She gets much love in public.
-Wet dogs get so much energy.
-Running errands and getting paperwork done.
-Got the new myTouch google phone. Love it.
-And best of all, I GOT A JOB OFFER!!!!
Never Ending Queue (With commentary by Paisley, haha)
-Regular Guy Socks by Yarnman
The pattern is what Chuck calls a “basic toe up ribbed sock pattern” - and it’s really nice looking. One thing that I really enjoy about it is how close the ribbing gets to the tip of the toe. I feel like that makes feet look shorter. And the PDF design is faboo.
Flavor Of The Week
-I don’t care if it’s cheesy, I love you guys. You’ve easily gained status as my Flavor of the week.
